Students on both campuses have been busy lately with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) lessons and projects. Molecular models made with gumdrops and toothpicks, bridges built with popsicle sticks for a strength-test challenge, wheeled recycled vehicles to explore engineering and motion, and a microscope study of sedimentary rocks provide loads of loads of fun, hands-on learning.
Why Does STEM Matter?
A vigorous STEM curriculum like FBRA’s has numerous benefits. In addition to the obvious development of mathematical and scientific thinking, it stimulates curiosity, builds creative thinking, develops collaboration and communication, and sets up students for a wide array of in-demand careers in our ever-changing workforce.
