Ann Marie grew up in Germany and attended an international school, which instilled in her a curiosity about the world. She graduated with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Spanish from the University of San Diego, during which time she also studied abroad in Barcelona. She has taught in Vietnam, Colorado, Ecuador, and North Carolina. She holds a teaching license in Art Education and recently completed her MA Ed in Art Education from the University of Georgia.
Ann Marie also has a wide range of experience adventuring in the outdoors. She hiked 1400 miles of the Pacific Crest trail, cycled 1200 miles through Vietnam, and has traveled extensively through South America and Asia. Ann Marie aims to teach in a way that challenges students creatively, and is passionate about social and emotional learning and making cross-curricular connections.
